Trust, kept beside every memory
Hearthsay does not create unrestricted voice clones. Generated responses are grounded in saved memories, labeled as AI-generated, and controlled by consent permissions.
Your family memories belong to your family.
Every memory answer should either show the sources used or say there is not enough recorded memory.
Generated responses are labeled AI-generated.
Consent-first memories
Nothing is preserved until a loved one, or their family, gives clear permission.
Source-backed answers
Every answer shows the real memories it drew from, or says there are not enough yet.
AI-generated disclosure
Generated responses always carry the "AI-generated from saved memories" label.
No public voice models
Your family recordings are never used to build public or shared voice models.
No phone-call impersonation
Hearthsay never places calls or speaks for someone with scripted lines.
Export anytime
Download your recordings, transcripts, messages, and family archive whenever you choose.
Delete anytime
Delete a memory, a loved-one profile, or your whole account from inside the app.
Revoke consent anytime
Consent can be revoked at any time, which turns voice features back off.
Bring-your-own-AI transparency
If you connect your own AI provider, you are told what may be shared, and with whom.
Family permissions
Trusted family members review what is shared, so the vault stays true to them.

Consented recordings only
Your voice data belongs to your family. Hearthsay uses consented recordings to build private VoiceDNA, AccentDNA, and ProsodyDNA profiles. Public scraping and unauthorized voice cloning are not allowed.
Hearthsay does not use public videos or third-party voices to create voice profiles without permission. Voice profiles are built from consented recordings and approved memories.
Neutral, for every family
Hearthsay does not ask for or infer religion. Families may choose to save personal traditions, blessings, or memories in their own words. Hearthsay preserves those memories neutrally and privately.
Hearthsay is a family memory and reflection app. It does not provide religious, spiritual, medical, legal, financial, therapeutic, or emergency advice.
Languages and voice playback
- Hearthsay is designed for multilingual families. Original recordings can be preserved in any language you choose to record. Automatic transcription, translation, and familiar voice playback depend on language support, provider availability, recording quality, and consent settings.
- If familiar voice playback is not available for a language, Hearthsay will never fake certainty. It will preserve the original recordings, show transcripts/translations when available, and clearly label any fallback voice.
- Hearthsay always preserves the original recording. AI voice playback depends on language, accent, provider support, consent, and recording quality.
Your memories are yours.
- You can download your recordings, transcripts, messages, and family archive anytime.
- You can delete a loved-one profile, revoke consent, or delete your account from inside the app.
- Deleting a profile removes recordings, transcripts, generated messages, and source memory links associated with that profile.
