Passing memories to the people you choose
Legacy Access lets you decide who can receive a memory vault later, with a careful, confirmed release — never an automatic one, and never a substitute for legal planning.

Recipients are email-identified, account-verified people you choose. Release after death is controlled and confirmed, not automatic.
Choosing trusted recipients
Legacy Access lets a vault owner name trusted recipients who may receive access to a memory vault later. Each recipient is identified by email and must be a verified Hearthsay account holder, so access is only ever given to a known, confirmed person — never to an anonymous link.
You choose who is included, and you can add, change, or remove recipients at any time while you are managing the vault.
A controlled, non-automatic release
Release of a vault to its trusted recipients is controlled and non-automatic. Hearthsay does not silently hand over a vault the moment something happens. A release is reviewed and confirmed, so the people you chose receive what you intended, in a careful, deliberate way.
Until a release is confirmed, the vault stays private to its existing members. Future-message capsules and any voice features still follow the same consent rules they always have.
What Legacy Access is not
Legacy Access is a way to pass along memories, stories, and recordings. It is not a will, an estate plan, or a legal mechanism for transferring property, money, accounts, or legal authority.
Hearthsay is not a will, estate plan, legal service, medical service, financial advisor, password manager, therapy provider, grief counseling service, or crisis service.
If you upload real recordings, your audio, transcripts, metadata, and access logs could be requested or used in legal processes depending on applicable law and court orders. Hearthsay does not promise otherwise.
